Judith Rachel Ladner

Rachel, as she was known to her family and friends, was born December 28, 1962 in Poplarville, Mississippi to Joe and Judith Shaw Hariel. Described as a selfless human being, she enjoyed fishing, attending concerts, her family, friends, and dog “Mutt Mutt” is what gave her the most joy in this life. Professionally, she was employed with Deaconess Home Health Care in Picayune, known for being a good nurse, caregiving was not only a vocation, but a calling to her. A graduate of Poplarville High School in 1980, she attended Pearl River Community College to receive degrees in both nursing and finance; the University of Southern Mississippi for Bachelor and Master of Nursing Degrees, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Poplarville.

Rachel will be sorely missed by all who came to know her.

Preceding her in death are her maternal grandfather, Leroy Shaw; paternal grandparents, Thomas C. and Grace Breland Hariel; and one cousin, Calvin Hoda.

Family members include her son, Alex (Ashlee) Ladner of Poplarville; Father, Joe (Patsy) Hariel of Perkinston; Mother, Judith (Robert) Lee of Poplarville; Brother, Shawn Hariel of Ponchatula, LA; Step Sisters, Laura Russell of Kiln and Lynn Seals of Picayune; Step Brothers, Christpher Hoda, Mark Dempsey Hoda, both of Kiln, and Clark Hoda of Perkinston; Maternal Grandmother, Vivian Shaw of Perkinston; Nieces, Destry Hariel and Holly Hariel; and her cherished Grandson, Ayden Ladner.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday August 5, 2013 at Crane Creek Baptist Church with Brother Harry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00, Sunday at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.
