K.W. was born on Thursday, January 9, 1941 in Des Allemands, Louisiana to Lucien and Agnes Dufrene Matherne. He was a retired truck driver, contractor, business owner and of the Pentecostal faith. After retiring he stayed busy with driving a bus for Poplarville School District.
