Loretta Jane Stringfellow

Mrs. Stringfellow was born November 30, 1952 in Moss Point, Mississippi. She married Donnis Stringfellow on August 7, 1970 at Palestine Gardens, Lucedale and began their life together. She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with Master's Degree, and a teacher with Poplarville Schools for 33 years. The people in her life was the most important - husband, children, grandchildren, students, her "family" at Poplarville Lower Elementary, and First Baptist Church. Although she was a quiet person, her care for those around her was deeply rooted.

Loretta will be sorley missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Hollis Lillis.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Donnis Stringfellow of Poplarville; one son, Don (Beronica) Stringfellow, Jr. of Monticello; one daughter, Mechelle (Brad) Necaise of Poplarville; her mother, Mary Louise Lillis of Pascagoula; two brothers, Mickey (Elaine) Yates of Hurley and Horace Yates of Livingston, TX; four grandchildren, Ashton Mackenzie Stringfellow, Katelyn "Kabie" Brianna Stringfellow, Madison Mechelle Nodurft, Mason Michael Nodurft; three step-grandchildren, Braden Vaughn Necaise, Drew McKenzie Necaise, and Owen Wells Necaise.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, December 30, 2013 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville with interment following in Holmes Cemetery, 1200 Highway 98, Lucedale, MS, 39452 at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
