Malcolm Rouse, Sr., age 87, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Rouse was born March 23, 1933 and a native of Baxterville, Mississippi. He was retired from Roadway Express with 34 years of service and a veteran of the United States Navy. He pastored area churches for nearly 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Sydney Rouse and Annie Cain Lee Rouse; two brothers, Jake Rouse, Curtis Rouse; two sisters, Lillian Pullens, Flora Allison; and one daughter-in-law, Beatrice Rouse.

Family members include his of wife of 60 years, Barbara Ann Rouse; two sons, Malcolm (Paulene) Rouse, Jr., Gary Rouse; two daughters, Marilyn (Lavone) Lee, Kathy (Bobby) Rouse; one sisters, Margaret Bradley; sixteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Picayune Church of the Lord Jesus Christ (1700 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS, 39466) on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 2:00 pm. His grandson, Brother Clayton Rouse

and Brother Jimmy Johnson will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Burgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Thursday at the church.
