Marjorie "Chris" Reid

Marjorie "Chris" Reid, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the age of 75. She was a devoted mother who loved her family deeply and lived a simple, purposeful life. Chris was a dedicated and hardworking Mom. She ensured her children were always provided for, with warm meals, proper clothing and love. Chris was a constant source of encouragement, particularly in supporting her children's athletic endeavors. She had a strong relationship with the Lord, which was a guiding force in her life. Known for her mental and physical strength, she faced life's challenges with resilience, grace and unwavering devotion to her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Burlon Reid; one daughter, Robin Jill Reid; one sister, Ruth Entrekin and one brother, Allen Strain.

Left to forever cherish Chris' memory are her three sons, Steve Reid (Kelly), Scott Reid and David Reid; eight grandchildren, Maci Reid, Olivia Reid, Coleman Reid, Hannah Reid, Rachel Thompson, Elizabeth Reid, Makena Reid and Presley Reid; one great-granddaughter, Rosemary Thompson and one sister, Elaine Drennan.

Family and friends are invited to attend Chris' memorial service on Monday, January 5, 2026 for 3:00 pm at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm.
