Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 10 years. Following his military service, he spent more than two decades with Pilot as a disaster relief worker, responding to hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, and snowstorms across the country. His bravery and dedication brought hope and help to countless communities in their times of greatest need. Beyond his service, Mark was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his steady strength, generous spirit, and the way he made everyone around him feel safe and cared for. His humor, resilience, and love for his family will remain in their hearts forever. He is survived by his wife, Betty, his son, Jason Adams, and his wife Nikki, his granddaughter, Zoe; and many extended family members and friends. Mark also shared a special bond with Alison Yates, who was like a sister to him, her husband Brian, and Jodi Faulkner, who was also like a sister to him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 17 at 1:00 at Red Hill Baptist Church in Lumberton with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery. Visitation will take place on September 17 from 10:30-1:00.
