Mr. Nelson was a selfless and caring man who enjoyed fishing, golfing, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need.
Milo will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Austin Stanley Nelson, Sr.; one brother, Austin Stanley Nelson, Jr.; and one grandson, Steven B. Nelson, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Nelson; his mother, Ida F. Tyson, both of Poplarville; three sons, Milo K. (Vania) Nelson, Jr. of Hattiesburg, Stanley B. Nelson of Picayune, and Steven B. (Venus) Nelson, Sr. of Carnes; one daughter, Laura (Keith) Dossett of Picayune; one sister, Wanda (Ray) Lauga of Slidell; six grandchildren, Kristen, Carley, Laekyn, Brandon, Victoria, and Aden.
Funeral services will be 12:00 pm, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Catahoula Baptist Church, Picayune with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 am, Wednesday at the church.
