With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Nancy Lynn Pickett on January 21st, 2025, following a brave and determined battle with cancer. Nancy was 47 years old when she left this world, but her legacy of love, resilience, and unyielding strength will live on forever.
Nancy’s journey through life was not easy. She faced struggles that many could never fully comprehend, but through it all, she showed us what true strength looks like. It wasn’t in perfection—it was in the courage to keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles. Nancy taught us that even in the hardest of days, we could find the will to push through. Her grace under pressure, her refusal to give up, and her love for her family made her a woman we will never forget.
Nancy was incredibly proud of her cleaning business, where she poured her heart into her work. She had a special gift for making things beautiful, and she loved creating magic for others, whether it was decorating for special occasions or making wreaths. But more than that, she was known for her love of babies—there was no one better at snuggling little ones than Nancy.
She cherished the annual canoe trip down Blackwater River in Florida with her family, always looking forward to the time spent on the water, laughing and making memories. Her time with her sister, Carolyn, was filled with love and, of course, plenty of good-natured teasing. Nancy and her best friend, Limp, shared countless hilarious moments that brought joy to everyone around them.
Nancy is survived by her two sons, Chris and Jasper, who were the light of her life. They were her greatest pride, and it’s through them that her legacy of love, perseverance, and hope will continue. She is also survived by her sisters Carolyn Howard, Linda Pickett, and April Pickett, and her brother Michael Pickett, whose love and support carried her through some of her toughest days.
Though Nancy’s journey was filled with both joy and hardship, she never stopped fighting for the things that mattered most—love, family, and kindness. She leaves behind a family who will carry her lessons and memories with them always. Though she may be gone from this world, the love she gave, the lessons she imparted, and the laughter she shared will continue to live on in all of us.
Rest easy our Girl. You fought with everything you had, and your story will forever be part of our hearts. You were truly one of a kind.
