Mr. Paul N. Darby Jr.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday September 6, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, Poplarville for Mr. Paul N. Darby, Jr., 82, of Poplarville, Mississippi who died Friday September 2, 2011 in the care of his family. Burial will follow in the Poplarville City Cemetery.

A native of Vidalia, Louisiana he was born February 20, 1929 to Paul N. and Cecile Olson-Darby. He was a retired safety engineer in the aerospace industry, an alumnus of the University of Arkansas, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of First United Methodist Church, Poplarville.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Couraud and her husband Jean Francois of Poplarville, Mississippi, and Macile Penton of Picayune, Mississippi; three granddaughters, Gina Bice Buras, Sheena Parris, and Robin Eiswirth; one grandson, Paul Penton; two great-granddaughters, Kelea Buras and Lydia Penton; and two great-grandsons, Stephen Kemper and Noah Eiswirth.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Darby in 2009.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until 12:45 pm Tuesday September 6, 2011 at White Funeral Home, Poplarville.
