

Maurice Ricky Sharp was born on August 24, 1956 at home in St Tammany Parish, Louisiana. He was raised by his loving mother Martha Ellen Cameron and his father Jack O'Neal. He attended Forrest County Agricultural High School where he grew up in the Carnes and Brooklyn communities. He married Brenda Ladner and fathered two children David Maurice Sharp and Jacqueline Marie Sharp. After his marriage to Brenda he married Lori Eaton fathering a son Shane Michael Sharp.
He was a navy veteran and made his living working in the oilfield where he worked his way up to become a driller. He also worked at numerous other jobs ranging from truck driver to construction worker he was a jack of all trades.
He enjoyed all of Gods creations from being outside enjoying nature to his whiddling of his many walking sticks. He was a wonderful father to his children always going above and beyond he was a kind hearted man and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He was very accomplished in his studies earning his masters degree in theology and was a Godly man.
He is survived by his dog Jake, son David[Christine] Sharp of Poplarville and son Shane Sharp of Lumberton, six grandchildren Micah, Taylor, Alexis, Jasmine, Courtney, and Brayden. He has many friends and relatives who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his mother Martha Ellen Cameron, father Jack Oneal, and daughter Jacqueline Marie Sharp.
Ricky was called home on Tuesday March 7, 2017 to be with his Lord and Savior. He is healthy and happy and awaiting the time we will all meet again. Let today not be a day of sorrow but a day of rejoicing for a good man gained his wings today.
He will be greatly missed but let's not cry for him lets smile and celebrate his life.
