Riley O'Brien Hodge

Riley O'Brien Hodge, age 81 departed this life into God's presence on Monday, June 9, 2025. Riley was born in Poplarville, Mississippi. He was a faithful member of Oak Hill Pentecostal Church. Riley loved to spend his days being a cowboy and farming. He was a hard worker who was a superintendent of construction with various jobs in the power plants and oil refineries. He was a jack of all trades. Riley was a caring man who loved helping others. He was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cullen and Ruthie Hodge, one step-daughter, Becky Herndon Fontenot and five sisters.

Left to forever cherish Riley's memory is his loving wife of nine years, Susan Hodge; one son, Clay Hodge; one step-son, Don Herndon (Monique); two sisters, Peggy Smith (the late Glennis) and Linda Alexander (David); six grandchildren, Brice Herndon, Kaleb Wheat (Marissa), Kylee Wheat, Conner Crain, Cameron Hodge and Jay Wheat (Kelvie); a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend Riley's visitation on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at White Funeral Home, 315 Hwy 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. His Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at White Funeral Home. Burial to follow in New Hope Church Cemetery, 147 Old Crossroads E, Poplarville, Mississippi.
