Mrs. Matherne was born October 29, 1943 in New Orleans, Louisiana to J.C. and Helen Dufrene Carter. She was a homemaker.
Family members include her mother, Helen Carter; husband, K.W. Matherne; three sons, Perron (Jackie) Matherne, Byron (Kathy) Matherne, Darrin (Jennifer) Matherne; four grandchildren, Michael Matherne, Dillon Matherne, Brooke Diamond, Devin Matherne; and one great granddaughter, Addylee Diamond.
She is preceded in death by her father, J.C. Carter.
