Sid Juan Smith Sr.

Mr. Smith was a talented entrepreneur who was an electrician, farmer, restaurant owner, and owned a tractor dealership. A veteran of the United States Army; he was a 32nd Degree Mason and Baptist by faith.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Spence and Kate Spiers Smith and his wife, Clara Hartfield Smith.

Family members include one son, Sid Juan (Laura) Smith, Jr. of Hattiesburg; one daughter, Claudia Annette (Doug) Thomas of Seymour, CT; three sisters, Tommie Louise Burge of Poplarville, Greta Faye Dearman of Petal, and Sarah Jane Kennedy of Hammond, LA; one brother, Guy Nell Smith of Picayune; three grandchildren, Riley Smith, Skylar Thomas, and Emily Thomas.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, Mississippi 39470 with interment following in Hartfield Cemetery, Purvis. Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday at the funeral home.
