Thomas Alton Peters

Alton was born November 7, 1952 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Thomas Leighton Peters and Murriel Ilene Harris Peters. He enjoyed storytelling and above all, spending time with family and friends.

His father precedes him in death; his grandparents, Lester and Mary Alice Peters; Clarence and Geneva Harris.

Family members include four daughters, Shannon (Chris) Bond, Allison (John) Penton, Kelly (Matt) Keenan, Carrin (Brian) Varnado; his mother, Murriel Peters; two sisters, Sharon (Bill) Davidson, Barbara (the late Johnny) Williams; a host of grandchildren, family, and friends. Alton's first great grandchild is expected in early summer.

Memorial services will be held at the Peters Residence, 220 Smith and Peters Road, Poplarville, MS, 39470 on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
