Funeral services will be at DERBYPLACE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00 am. Brother Jake Staten, Brother Jacob Smith, and Brother Gary Hickman will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Derby Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 starting at 6:00 pm and will be ongoing until services on Thursday.

Mrs. Simon was born September 6, 1960 in New Orleans to Frank W. Smith, Sr. and Gloria LeBorde Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Derbyplace Missionary Baptist Church. Above all, she was a loving Wife, loving Mother, and loving Nana.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney Jay Smith and Frank W. Smith, Jr.

Family members include her husband of 38 years, John Simon; two sons, John Guy Simon and his wife Candice, Adam Simon and his wife Caycee; her mother, Gloria Smith; five grandchildren, Caleb Simon, Haven Simon, Jacob Simon, Saylem Simon, Cassie Ashe; a host of extended family and friends.
