

Benjamin Christopher Spencer, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at the age of 76. Born February 16, 1949, Ben lived a life filled with laughter, love, and the joy of family.
Ben’s warm heart and quick wit endeared him to all who knew him. He was a gifted storyteller, always ready with a joke or an anecdote to brighten the day. His passions were many, including tending his garden, spending time with his cherished grandchildren, and sharing his knowledge and stories with them. He also found immense pleasure in the quiet solitude of his boat, the “Lyn Wyn,” where he enjoyed the thrill of the catch and the peace of the water.
He is predeceased by his parents, Orville and Florence Spencer, and his brother, Dan. Ben leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, deeply mourned by his daughter, Lisette (David), and their children, Melissa, Cory, Mathias, and Cailan, as well as his great-grandchildren, Brixton and Harper. He is also survived by his son, Richard (Julie), and children, Tyson, Erika, and Lily. His siblings, Bea, Robert, and Trudy (Dale) and numerous nieces and nephews: Russel ,Deanna , Mike, Lindsay, Ian, Audra, Shane and Ryan.
Benjamin’s kindness, his infectious humor, and his unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a void that will be felt by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved so dearly.
