Dan was a talented and incredibly hard-working man, known as "Dan the man." He worked at Kal Tire in Port Alberni since 2014. He was admired for his strength and capability.
He lived life on his own terms. He was the source of laughter and legendary antics.
Dan is survived by his mother, Lori; his son, William, and William's mother, Lorelei; his sister, April (Chris & Gus); and his grandmother, Julie. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Amanda; his uncle and aunt, Rick and Laura; and his cousins, Greg and Kim.
He was predeceased by his father, Arthur, and his grandfather, Alec.
His passing leaves behind a painful silence. While many knew him as a strong, hilarious, and hardworking presence, some recognized the quiet battles he faced.
The family plans to hold a private gathering to mourn their loss. An informal gathering for Dan’s friends and loved ones will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Beaver Creek Hall. Attendees are invited to bring a chair, food to share and any photos, videos, or stories they wish to share in celebration of Dan's life.
