

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Dorothy Beryl Sherwood a loving mother, wife, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Predeceased by her loving husband Ron, her parents Wally and Pearl Ofstie and her brother-in-law Alfie Huff.
Dorothy was born October 18,1943 and was fondly known as one of the Ofstie girls out Beaver Creek. She was one of 5 siblings, 3 sisters and a brother. She attended Beaver Creek and ADSS School. Married her great love Ron Sherwood on April 1, 1960 and went on to have 4 wonderful children. Dorothy was an incredible loving and nurturing mother. Always there for us with grace and strength. She was a beautiful classy quiet and loving wife, an adored mother and Nana as well as a beloved sister & friend. She lived for her family and delighted in their holiday gatherings and birthday celebrations.
In earlier years she loved to travel with Ron, they treasured their times in Hawaii, Vegas, Mexico, and numerous trips down south in their prized motorhome. They loved to dance, travel, and spend time playing cards with friends.
Dorothy found joy in reading a good book especially accompanied by her coffee and cigarettes. She loved her family unconditionally. She was and will be cherished beyond measure and forever missed
Our mom leaves behind a legacy of family, love, and kindness.
Survived by her eldest son Tim Sherwood (Heather), eldest daughter Brenda McCormack (Dan), youngest daughter Tammy Elliott (Dave) and her youngest son Troy Sherwood, also survived by her ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great great grandson (Sutter), her sisters Georgina (Bob), Barb, Yvonne, and her brother Larry (Roxanne) and numerous nieces and nephews
There will be no celebration of life as per Dorothy’s wishes.
