A long time resident of the Alberni Valley, Douglas Daniel Tegert passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 92 years of age. Doug was predeceased by his wife Amelia (1977), four brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his brother Victor and sisters Myrtle and Gina. Deeply loved and sadly missed by Mervyn (Ruth), Linda (Rob), Chris, Laurie (Paul), Dan and their families; also by Bill, Norin (Ritch) and family, along with many other relatives and friends. A service of remembrance will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005 6th Avenue, Port Alberni, British Columbia. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
