Faye is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Maurice (Moe), daughter Nicole (Dan) and grandchildren Larissa and Nikolas. She is also survived by sister Lois Andow, brothers-in-law Don Hawkins (Ethel), Bill Zdebiak and sister-in-law Doris. Faye was also blessed with many loving and supportive nieces and nephews that never failed to leave her with a smile on her face. Also left to cope with their loss are dear friends Dani (Emil) and Patti. Faye is predeceased by parents Harry & Alice Butler, sisters Arla Hawkins, Verna Proulx and husband Albert and brother-in-law Dennis Andow.
Faye started her earliest working days as one of the first car hops when J&L Drive-In opened in 1968. She then went on to gain her registration as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). Ultimately becoming a wife and mother brought her life’s greatest fulfillment and consumed the rest of her years. She loved her early childhood growing up at Sproat Lake, playing softball and nurturing many lifelong friendships. Faye was an avid Blue Jays fan and also enjoyed watching The Young and Restless and many of the old westerns. She also loved a good party! Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her cherished daughter and grandchildren.
Faye suffered two devastating strokes many years ago which left her with an inability to communicate very well. That was so, so frustrating for her but she carried on with a strength that would rival the toughest among us despite her many mobility issues. Eventually, her heart had had enough and she was called to be back in the comforting embrace of her heavenly family.
The family would like to thank Dr. DePape for his many years of caring for Faye.
There will be no service as per Faye’s request and cremation has taken place. A family gathering will take place at a later date.
