Glenda Dene Surrey Mather

Predeceased by parents Harry and Pearl, Glenda is survived by loving husband Fred; children Sean (Terra) and Fred (Cheryl); grandchildren Serrie, Charlotte, Stephanie, and Nathaniel; brother Darryl; sister Kassah as well as extended family and friends.

Glenda came to BC in the mid 60’s. She worked for DND for a while then met Fred and the two were married in 1968. After marriage she became involved in fostering children, Beavers and Cubs, volunteered as secretary for Jericho Road Church as well as cooked on the ships with her husband aboard the Uchuck III and the Francis Barkley. She enjoyed bowling and curling and spent time ministering at the Canadian Cancer Society office on 3rd Ave. Glenda was a woman of faith who shared her love for Jesus and evangelized given the chance.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 2, at 1:00pm at Jericho Road Church, 5100 Tebo Ave with Pastor John Cox officiating. Condolences and messages may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
