Helen was born June 4, 1929 in Arrowwood, Alberta and married Joseph Donald Miles October 27, 1949. They
moved to Port Alberni in 1960 with children Gordon, James and Joan, later Linda was born in Port Alberni, BC.
Helen was predeceased by husband Don, son Gordon (Gordie) Miles, sister Elsie (Bubbles). Survived by son James
(Wanda) Miles, daughters Joan (Rob) Dahlman, Linda (Terry) Mann, and sister Lettie (Butch) Higgins.
Grandchildren and great grandchildren Corby, Becca, Joseph, Laura, Kris, Kaden, Dylan, Skye, Ariah and Rome and their spouses. As well as nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion 293, 4680 Victoria Quay, Port Alberni from 1:30pm-3:30pm Tuesday February 28th, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Ty Watson House. 3088 3rd Avenue, Port Alberni, BC V9Y 2A5.
Helen’s family will forever be gratetful to Dr. Puts and Dr. Johnston, home support and Ty Watson House staff.
