Predeceased by his parents; Stanley and Voilet; sister Deborah, John is survived by his sister Sherry (Randy) Didier; brother Stan (Carolyn); nieces and nephews, Jared, Kelsey (Derek), Lance (Ashley), Matt (Avalon); as well as great nieces Hailey and Tyler.
Born and raised in Port Alberni, John attended Sproat Lake Elementery, as well as AW Neill and ADSS. He loved living at the lake and spent time fishing and boating as he was growing up. He enjoyed wrestling in his high school years and competed in the sport in the valley and around the province. John moved from the Valley in the early 80’s. When he would come home he always wanted to return to the lake to visit with family.
