It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Leonora Yabut, who departed this life on September 5, 2025, at the age of 85. She passed peacefully in her sleep in the arms of her husband of 57 years and surrounded by her 4 children and 6 grandkids.
She was a cherished wife, mom, Lola (grandma), sister, aunt, and friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, dedication, sense of humor, and a heart full of warmth — she lived a love-filled life and was part of an epic love story that the rest of us could only dream of.
Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May she rest in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to Seaview Seniors Housing Society (Forest Glen) or the Tofino General Hospital Foundation.
Funeral/memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 11am at the Holy Family Church in Ucluelet followed by a private viewing. Friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate Leonora’s life.
A celebration of life will also take place on September 21st, 2025. Time and place to be announced.
