Manda Perkovic

December 22, 1924 – September 8, 2010

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother Manda on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in the West Coast General Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas (2004); two sisters: Jula Rajacich and Jela Perkovic and one brother Josa Perkovic. She is survived by her beloved children: Tom (Diane) Perkovic, Diane Perkovic and Marian Perkovic all of Port Alberni; sister Mary Mesic as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives in Port Alberni, Ontario, Australia and Croatia.

Manda was a loving mother, devoted to her children and always worked hard to make her home a loving, comfortable and inviting place. She also loved to crochet. Born in Croatia in 1924, she immigrated to Canada to join her husband in 1956.

Prayers will be held at 7:00pm on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30am at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Rd., with Father Stephen Paine officiating. Interment to follow in the Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens.
