Predeceased by son Russel, daughter Adele Francoeur, brothers Ben and Maurice and sister Cecile Smith.
Survived by wife of 47 years, Jeanne; sons, Gary, Rene (Gail) and Denis (Diane) Franoeur; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Rosie (Pat); sister Monica Larose; and brother-in-law Ed Mallard as well as many extended family in PEI and Ontario.
Marcel came with his family to the Alberni Valley in the 1950’s to work in the Pulp Mill. Marcel was a quite person who loved the outdoors and was always active. He enjoyed camping and fishing, stock cars, riding motorcycles in Arizona and traveling every year to Arizona for the winters.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm, on Friday May 4, 2012 at the Royal Canadian Legion Br #293, 4680 Victoria Quay. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca
