It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie Ferguson announce her passing. Marge was born in Vancouver in 1936 and moved to Port Alberni with her family at the age of three, where they settled on Prairie Farm in Beaver Creek. She married the late Ronald Horsman and stayed in the Alberni Valley to raise her family.
Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking a good meal for anyone that stopped by, baking her famous strawberry shortcake and "grammas" (scones), heading out for a swim or a hotdog roast, gardening and helping anyone in need.
Her loving, cheerful, helpful and hard working ways will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Marge is pre-deceased by her mother, Marjorie; father, John; brothers Robert, Gordon, Allan and Donald; sisters Gertrude Horst and Jean Guldager and daughter Linda Damude. Survived by her sons Bob Bain, Allan Horsman and Steven Horsman; daughters Laura Grootveld, Donna Frakes, Patricia Brown and Debora Frank, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life will be held at a later time, announcement to follow.
