I want to say all the things I will miss about her:  love, smile, laughter, sense of Humour, compassion, strength, enthusiasm for sports, (Canucks, Olympics, Curling and Tennis (Roger Federer); helping people, making people feel welcome, gardening, serious card playing skills, appreciation for music, art, fashion sense, education as well as self-knowledge through reading, master chefing and baking; financial support thoughout my life and taught me to be good with the little $$'s I make; how to shop for a bargain and to celebrate when you found one!; social skills and how to always be kind to people even when they may not be that way towards you; courage to try new things and always find joy in what you do for a living.

Mom just a huge thank you for giving me a carefree life on Sproat Lake that was always full of your love.  I will miss you for all of the rest of the days of my life

I feel gifted and honored to share with you some of our cherished memories of our special Baba.  For all of you who knew Baba know the special gift I was given to have the opportunity to be her granddaughter.  She was the true meaning of Baba, thoughtful, caring and supportive.  I have always strived to live my life authentic to the way my Baba did as she made such an impactful difference to so many people.  

Every time I arrived at Baba's I would be greeted with a smile and asked what I would like to eat; some of usual requests were veggies with Baba's dip, grill cheese with onions and Baba's chicken noodle soup.  I will sure miss these tasty treats.  A few months ago I got to make Baba her chicken soup and watch her enjoy it and I will always think of her when I make it.  My favourite was her chocolate cake.

Lynsey and I spent numeorus New Year's at Baba and Papa's house and our celebrations would always consist with pots and pans in the living room, popcorn in our own bowls and staying up until midnight.  One time we got so into it we broke one of Baba's wooden spoons and she responded with "Oh Jennifer"; a common phrase I would hear through the years when I would act in my silly ways.

As an adult I missed spending time wiht Baba often and I would often say to her "I always think about you and want you to know that I love you very much".  She would always respond with "I know Jennifer, don't worry aobut me, you are very special and I love you very much".  Baba was always very proud that I became a teacher and enjoyed hearing about all the of my day-to-day interactions with children.  I am now privileged to be working in the same district she did as a secretary and I often hear of the difference she made through her years of work and aspire to do the same.

I am so happy that Baba got to meet Ryan to know who I will spend the rest of my life with.  I was able to show her the plans of the log home we hope to one day build and she always marvelled and expressed her joy for the continued life I will experience without her.  Baba and I held a very special bond and in her last few weeks I still continued to be greeted with a smile and I will always hold a part of her within me.  On our very last visit Baba said to me "don't be sad about me Jennifer, I love you".  She gave me a kiss on the lips and said save those for Ryan.  So Ryan I hope you are ready for many Baba kisses.

A grandmother is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher and a little bit best friend.

My name is Lynsey and I am her second oldest granddaughter.  I would often share stories with people of baba and they would look at me and wonder (What do you mean Baba?)  And I would respond with my grandma -we call her Baba.
Baba and Papa have a hot tub room in their basement and we always were so excited when we got to go into the tub as it often wasn't turned on.  Every time we would get into the tub the water would be so cold so Baba and Mom would boil hot water and pour it into the tub, so we could finish our "Hot tub time with a bit of warmth".  

When I was a little girl, a total mamma's girl, very rarely could she get away with me not clinging to her however, when my and mom and did go out Jennifer and I would ususally stay at Baba and Papa's.  Sure enough not even an hour later I wanted my Mom and Baba's simple way of calming me down to was to say " I made your mother, she is part of me, so there is no need to miss her"  (Her advice will help me when I miss her, I will give my Mom the hug I will wish to give Baba.  I have so many memories with my Baba, that I will hold onto forever.  I had the pleasure of doing my Baba's hair for the last 4 years.  She always told me that I am an amazing hairdresser and I always made her feel beautiful.  Unfortunatley the last few months I wasn't able to do that, but boy, was my Baba beautiful.  Not many people can pull off a bald head, trust me I would know.  I am happy to say that my Baba got the chance to get to know Cole, she welcomed him into our family with a smile, as she always did, she had a way with people.  She grabbed his heart and she told me just the other day that he is a keeper. 

On Easter we were blessed to have one last big family dinner with Baba.  Jennifer made this hat for Baba, she put it on and she came to sit with us at the table.  As Jennifer said grace we thanked everyone for being together and congratulated Baba for eating probably the first Easter dinner she didn't cook.  She responed with "CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!".  This will be a cherished memory for all of us.

There are no words that can describe what kind of a wife, mother, baba, and friend Marge was... But i will try, she fought her battle with cancer for many years, you could never see her showing her pain she hid it very well. She always stayed positive, there was always a smile on her face, she was always concerned about the health of others, never showing her end was getting closer and her pain was getting worse.she will be missed by all that knew her, this town has lost a very special person Rest in peace Marge till we meet again

So sorry to you all for such a huge loss that Marge will have left in everyone's lives.  We met Marge and Tony in Portugal and kept in touch even tho mostly at a distance.  Hugs go out to you all for the void she will leave in you and everyone else she touched.  God Bless

So very sorry for your loss of  Marge. It doesn't seem so long ago that you moved to the lake and we all became friends. She will be missed by many.

Dear Tony and family - So sorry for your loss, Marge was such a good role model the way she lived her life, I strive to be more like her.

She will be missed by all who knew her.  We worked together for many years, had lots of good laughs together and took a couple of trips together - New York, a shopping trip to the US.
She was so positive.   She was such a wonderful person.  She is at peace now and her battle is over.

Sorry to hear the news of Marge's passing. We both started working for SD70 in 1969, so I knew and appreciated her for nearly 45 years. Rest in peace
