Mike was predeceased by his parents, Gerry and Nicole Beer. He leaves behind his loving wife, Stephanie (Blake), his daughter Chelsea, and his son Kyle, as well as countless friends and extended family.
Mike cherished time spent with family and friends and found true joy in the outdoors, especially while fishing or camping. A devoted husband, proud father, and loyal friend, his greatest happiness came from being with the people he loved.
Known for his sharp sense of humor, Mike was always joking, quick with a smile, and ready to make others laugh. His warmth, kindness, and easygoing nature earned him a wide circle of friends. He was joking until the very end, making nurses laugh just days before his passing.
Mike enjoyed his work as an electrician, establishing a successful and well-respected business in the Alberni Valley. He took great pride in his career and often enjoyed pointing out the many homes and businesses he had worked on around town, sharing stories of the projects with a sense of accomplishment.
Mike’s love, loyalty, humor, and quiet strength will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Mike’s many friends who stood by him with unwavering support throughout his illness, as well as to the doctors and nurses whose compassion, care, and dedication meant so much during a very difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ty-Watson Hospice House or the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
Michael’s memory will live on in the laughter he shared and the lives he touched.
