

Sall: Pritam Kaur - It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend Pritam Kaur Sall. Mama left us on Wednesday, April 27th, 2011 at West Coast General Hospital, to join the loving arms of her soulmate, Nazar Singh Sall who passed away on March 26, 2011. Pritam Kaur was born in Lehal, Punjab, India and came to Canada in 1959, spending the last 47 years residing in Port Alberni. Her unconditional love and affection, her magical spirit, her infectious smile and devotion to her faith and family will carry on as her legacy. We will always remember how you would hold our hand with both of yours tightly and kiss them like you never wanted to let go, and now we are the ones who don't want to let go, but we know we have to. We know that wherever we go and whatever we do, you will be right there holding our hand through life. Pritam Kaur was preceded by her late husband Nazar Singh Sall, her father and mother Chanan Singh and Parsinni Kaur Rai, her sister Joginder Kaur Aolick and brother Kehar Singh Rai. She is survived by son Tarsem Singh (Rashpal Kaur) Sall of Port Alberni, son Ranjit (Balbinder) Sall of Nanaimo, sons Sabba (Gurmeet) Sall and Shindy (Rita) Sall both of Victoria, daughters Naranjan (Lehmber) Boyal, Sukhjit (Surjit) Madhopuri, all of Surrey. Her grandchildren Meena, Kiki, Navin, Sumi, Ravi, Bhindi, Suneil, Jason, Neela, Anita, Michael, Jeevan, Reena and 7 great grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews and their children whom she considered her own. She is also survived by her brothers Sadhu Singh (Jagir Kaur) Rai of Surrey and Gurdev Singh (Sawarn Kaur) Rai of Port Alberni, her loving friend and caregiver Sumitra Sapkota of Port Alberni and countless relatives and friends throughout North America. Mama, words cannot express how much you meant to us. Although we will miss you deeply, the memories you left us will live on in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Sunday, May 1st at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue, Port Alberni. Kirtan/Langer will follow at the Guru Nanak Sikh Society, 4144 8th Avenue, Port Alberni. Sehaj Path Bhog will take place on May 7th at 11:00 a.m at the Guru Nanak Sikh Society.
