Randy was born in Tofino November 11, 1958, and grew up in Ucluelet attending Ucluelet Elementary School and Ucluelet Secondary School. Randy took a great interest in building homes with guidance from his good friend Bob Sinclair and many of Randy’s builds can still be found in Ucluelet today.
In his later years, Randy was wharf master before joining Mainroad Contracting providing highway maintenance service to the road between Ucluelet and Port Alberni. This allowed him to ensure the roads were clear and well maintained for his son Kyle to be able to play hockey in Port Alberni.
Randy is predeceased by his mother Louise and father Ernie Lee, sister Darlene and brothers Edward (Eddie) and John.
Randy is survived by his greatest accomplishment, his son Kyle (wife Katrina and mom Maureen) as well his sisters Charlotte, Sharon, Charleen, and brother David. Randy loved to talk anyone’s ear off and leaves behind countless friends in Ucluelet, Port Alberni, and all across Vancouver Island and Canada.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 20th at 1:00pm at the Ucluelet Army Navy & Air Force Veterans Club (1708 Peninsula Rd, Ucluelet, BC V0R 3A0) where Randy frequently provided the entertainment as either DJ, bartender or karaoke King.
Donations in Randy’s memory to the West Coast General Hospital are greatly appreciated.
