Richard Douglas Lucas

He was predeceased by his father, Richard Lucas, grandparents, Doug and Kathy Robinson and Charlie and Gertrude Lucas; little brother, Alexander Lucas; and close uncles, Aaron Lucas and Bob Sault. Also, uncle, Jim Bob; cousin, Amber Little, auntie, Patricia George; uncle, Wilfred Robinson; cousin, Nikki Robinson and auntie, Joyce Little.

Survived by his loving mom, Irene; siblings, Dawn, Lana, Kathy, Tammy, Ander, Jeanette, Jared, Derek and Thomas and nieces and nephews.

Richard had many friends. Also, his friends at the Shelter were his family. He was close to so many people and loved and respected by many.

Richard also loved to eat chicken wings, empire donuts, ½ smoked fish with potatoes and prawns, Tim Horton’s coffee, pomegranate and grapefruit juice and Lucky. He was very social and visited with many different people. He kept in contact with his old work buddies.

He was injured while working in the bush and so ended up being a night watchman. People would bring him food and he would post photos on facebook of it.

He loved road trips & driving, He also loved his football team the Philadelphia Eagles. He would gather with friends and they would watch the games together.

The service will be on Saturday, January 4th at 11 am at the Port Alberni Friendship Center with lunch to follow.
