Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Pearl (Gammon) Kisch, he had no siblings but many cousins. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife Ronda, and two children Teresa Elana Kisch (Ryan Anderson) and Thomas Charles Kisch as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Thomas served in the Royal Canadian Navy from for six years and retired with an honourable medical discharge as a Chief Petty Officer 1st Class. After leaving the Navy, he worked as a taxi owner operator with Checker Cabs in Windsor, Ontario; where he was born and raised and attended Frank W. Begley and Lowe Technical schools. He later moved to Victoria where he continued as a taxi owner/operator working for a couple of companies before venturing out to start his own company, Buccaneer Cabs. Thomas was also trained and skilled in radio and computer electronics and was a computer technician both in Victoria and upon his arrival in Port Alberni in 2002. Thomas’ other passion was golfing and he enjoyed getting out any chance he had.
There will be no service by request. Cremation has taken place. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca. In lieu of flowers donations in Thomas’ memory may be made to the SPCA or a charity of your choice.
