Thomas Agustine Ryan

Tom is survived by his loving wife Betty of 60 years, his sister Mary Walsh and his three children Jackie (Robert), Thom (Doug), and Kim (Steve). He also leaves 7 grandchildren Caleb, Ryan, Wyatt, Shannon, Kelly, Madison and Ethan and their partners as well as his 2 great grandchildren Leo and Ziggy; his sisters-in-law Dot Ryan and Shirley Ryan, along with many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary; in-laws Gerry and Bride Martin, his 9 siblings; Marg, Mike, Jim, Gerry, Joe, Bob, Sister Callista, Lena and Catherine.

Tom was born in Kilbride, Newfoundland. He moved to Victoria, B.C. in 1969 and retired to Port Alberni in 2001. He was a caring man who touched many people over the years and always put others before himself. He had a great sense of humour and a quick wit. He always had a smart comment in his back pocket to brighten your day. He was full of energy and devotion to his family, as well as the Catholic Church. He will be truly missed!

The funeral service will be held on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 11 am at The Holy Family Notre Dame Roman Catholic Parish, located 4731 Burke Road Port Alberni, B.C.
