Vincenzo was a veteran of World War II and with his family he immigrated to Canada, settling in the Alberni Valley in 1956, where he found employment at Alberni Plywood Division. He retired in 1977 and enjoyed many happy years, which included his passion for making wine, gardening vegetables and tending the most beautiful roses. Dad and mom enjoyed many trips including several casino trips to Reno and Nanaimo where he had incredible luck. He remained active, walking and taking daily bus rides to do grocery shopping and could often be seen walking along 10th Avenue, bags in hand. He will be sadly missed and will remain forever in our hearts.
Cremation by request, followed by a private interment at a later date. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca.
We would like to thank the staff at West Coast General Hospital who cared for our father and kept him comfortable in his final days. We would also like to thank Dr. J. Meyer for the many years that he was under his care.
