Anastasia B. Cesino, 92, long-time resident of Providence, RI, died June 18, 2011 in Punta Gorda, FL where she lived for the past 14 years.
She was born on December 9, 1918 and retired after working 40 years in the jewelry business. Also at a family owned business, Knickerbocker Jewelry in Providence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pasquale J. Cesino (d. August 25, 2001) who she married on October 12, 1940.
Anastasia is survived by her 3 children; Rev. Marlene J. Simonian, Val-John Cesino and David W. Cesino and 4 grandchildren; Maria A. Van Parys, Stacia A. Simonian,
Jennifer N. Cesino and Jared N. Cesino. One of eight children, she is also survived by one sister, Angela Amore.
Known for her great sense of humor and zest for life, Anastasia devoted her time to bringing, joy and laughter to others.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Providence, RI and Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, Punta Gorda, FL.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Episcopal Church of the Good shepherd.
