Audrey E. Riley

Audrey was born March 21, 1921 in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the Daughter of Ethel Lamphear Torrey and Maurice E. Torrey and a proud descendant of the Cape Cod Indians.

Audrey graduated from The Comptometer School of Providence, R. I. April 3, 1941. She was employed by Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. in Providence, R.I. during WW11 until March 26,1945.

Audrey was married 67 years to Benjamin J. Riley and fulfilled her childhood dream to have a large, loving family.

Audrey is survived by her Sister in Law, Ruth Gay Torrey of Sarasota, Florida; three sons, Dwight of New York, N.Y., James of Placida, Fl., and Benjamin of Ft. Meyers Beach, Fl; four daughters Sharon Kent of Placida, Fl., Stephanie York of Scarborough, Me., Robin Riley of Sun City, Fl., and Patricia Riley of Sarasota, Fl; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Audrey was predeceased by her name sake granddaughter, Krista Audrey York of Scarborough, Me. and her brother, Elwood (Woody) Torrey;great grandson, Lucas John Uhrin of Hilliard, Ohio.

Sincere Love and Gratitude from the family is expressed to the entire staff of Brookdale Sterling House Rotunda and Tidewell Hospice for their love and compassionate care.

Calling hours to express condolences to the family will be held at Lemon Bay Funeral Home on Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 3:30-5:00 p.m.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. Audrey's final resting place will be with her husband at the National Veterans Cemetery in Sarasota, Fl.
