Barbara Louise Conner, 41 years old, of Englewood, FL, passed away over the weekend of January 27th, 2008. She is survived by her son Thomas Powers II of Beachwood, New Jersey and her daughter Harleigh Skye Rodriguez-Conner of Englewood, FL. She will be fondly remembered by her parents Ken and Lou Conner residents of Palm Island Florida formerly of Boulder Park, Princeton, WV. Her surviving siblings are Kenneth Conner, Jr. and his wife Leila and son Whitfield of Charleston, SC; Gregory Conner and his wife Kathy and their children Greg, Heather and Brandi of Greenville, SC, Cheryl Conner-Pressly and her husband Russ and son Conner of Englewood, FL; Rodney Conner and his wife Katie and daughter Jessie of Winston-Salem, NC and Mitchell Conner and his wife Kim and their children Alexandria and Christian of Cary, NC.

Formerly a resident of Princeton, WV, Barbara was an artist, a singer and beloved mother to her children. Barbara was a determined cancer survivor who graduated from Princeton High School in 1985, attended Concord College and graduated from Bluefield State College.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 1, 2008 at Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood, Florida at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an Education Fund for her daughter. Donations may be payable to Harleigh Rodriguez-Conner, Minor, Cheryl Conner-Pressly, Guardian, c/o Wachovia Bank, NA, 1831 S. McCall Road, Englewood, FL 34223.
