
Colleen Ann Sergent, 79, of Arcadia, FL, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2009 in Port Charlotte. She was born April 4, 1929 in Findlay, Ohio. Ann was formerly of Chanute, KS, Cincinnati and Seville, Ohio, coming to Florida 20 years ago.
Ann was a homemaker, and assisted her husband in his business Superior Law Enforcement Equipment in Seville, before moving to Chanute in 1969. While living in KS she was active in the First Christian Church, The Outlook Study Club, Mother's Club and volunteered at Neosho Memorial Hospital. Besides being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was an avid bingo player.
Survivors include, Edward W. Sergent, husband of 55 years; daughters, Barbara J.C. Winkler of Port Charlotte, FL, Carolyn Bill Scott of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Amanda Tim Roncaglione of Port Charlotte, FL, Nate Winkler of Fairhaven, MA, Bethany Winkler of Punta Gorda, FL, Lauren, Simeon and Keely Scott of Naples, FL; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Sahara Roncaglione, Melanie Bettencourt, Faith and Troy Winkler; brother, Robert Newton Jr. of Ashland, OH; sister, Edna Mae Swartz of Georgetown, FL. She was preceded in death by sister, Ruth Jerger and her beloved son Mark at the tender age of 9.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday February 28, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Union Baptist Church, 5076 Lily Church Rd., Ona, FL.
