
She was born on May 15, 1929 in Gorham, Maine to Ray Grant and Eugenia Tozier Grant. Constance attended Portland high school. She was a homemaker with 8 children and enjoyed crafts and loved to knit and cook. She was a Den leader for the Cub Scouts, a member of the Moose Club, Rainbow girl at the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Rebecca's. She was involved with the Stroke Club. She loved to go on cruises and going to Vegas and playing the slot machines. She loved her family. Constance was the last surviving sibling of ten boys and girls.
She is survived by her husband, Carlton of 47 years; seven sons, Richard Martin of Naples, Maine, Albert Martin of Red Oak , Texas, Robert Martin of Fort Myers, Florida, Lester Martin of Port Charlotte, Florida, Dennis Martin of Parkland, Florida, Kevin Martin of Wells, Maine and Glenn Martin of Raymond Maine, also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Constance was preceded in death by her daughter Eva Martin. She had many friends and will be deeply missed.
Visitation Monday, October 12, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida, additional services and burial will be in Windom, Maine.
