Deborah Jane Freeman (Besso, Morris) born 7/20/54 in Newton, MA died from ALS 11/16 in Englewood, FL. She was married 34 years to Glenn. She was preceded by her parents Elaine Hebert and Donald Besso. Debbie worked in an emergency room and neonatal ICU, later becoming a private detective with shotgun certification. In Virginia she built a log home on a mountain. In Florida Debbie expanded SW Great Dane Rescue and volunteered at Suncoast Humane Society. She mastered many crafts including cake decorating with many designs published, beekeeping and bee rescue, quilting, stained glass, genealogy (published), seashell art including award winning sailors’ valentines and judged several shows, but her passion was seashell study called conchology. Debbie won awards for the study and display of deformed shells, she held two board positions with the international COA, was the only three term president of the Englewood Shell Club and started their newsletter.
