Donald F. Whalen

Donald F. Whalen 70, formerly of Buffalo, New York, a current resident

of Punta Gorda, Florida. Donald was a Life long law enforcement officer,

retiring from Buffalo Police Department after 20 years of service. He relocated

to Florida in 1985 and worked as an investigator, for the State Attorneys office

for 23 years retiring in 2008.

He is the son of the late Donald Whalen and Irene (Leonarczyk) Whalen. He is

Survived by his beloved wife, Wynn (Rountree), Loving brother to Jane Pinterpe

(Angelo), and Barbara O'Keefe (Dennis). Most loving father, to Brian (Sheila)

Whalen, Katie Polewski (Joe), and Kelly Zimmer (Joe) with former wife Christine

(Nowicki); stepfather to Tim (Chanel) Demonbreun and Megan Demonbreun.

Loving papa of 12 grandchildren, Derrek, Katelyne, Megan, Erin, Justine, Sidney,

Shawn, Madison, Joey, Joshua, Faith and Grace also survived by many nieces,

nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation Tuesday, March 20, 2012 from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March

21, 2012 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton
