Dwayne Bryce Brown

Dwayne B. Brown, 74, of Charlotte Harbor, FL went home to be with our Lord on March 12, 2013. He was born March 2, 1939 in Newberry, FL and moved to this area over forty years ago. Dwayne was a man of many talents and took on different occupations throughout his life to provide for his family; well drilling, wood craftsmanship, retired from Met Life as an account executive, construction clean-up and tree work among others, In his spare time, he enjoyed coffee and conversation with his wife on the porch, grilling, Florida Gators football and listening to classic country music, especially Waylon Jennings. He was a devoted, hardworking, honest and loving husband, father, brother and nephew who will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Brown; daughter Duayna Brown; brothers Dwight (Paulette) and Darryl Brown; aunt, Betty Brown-Spears; nieces, nephews, cousins and his dog Snowball.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Friday March 15, 2013 at the Charlotte Harbor Trinity United Methodist Church, 23084 Seneca Avenue, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Saturday March 16, 2013 at the church with the Rev Marion Sortore officiating. Burial will follow at the Charlotte Harbor Cemetery. The family has requested donations in memory of Dwayne be made to the church.
