Edward Englebert Schuch

Edward Englebert Schuch was born at home July 5, 1926 in Chicago Illinois. Ed grew up in Chicago and graduated from Tilden Technical Institute in July 1944, and soon was began his military service in Sept. 1944. He proudly served in the army in WWII from 1944-1946.

Upon his return he met and married the love of his life, Lilian Tekla Karluk, at Nativity BVM in Chicago on October 9th, 1948. Ed and Lil were blessed with 2 daughters, Deborah Anne and Diane Marie. Ed worked as a tool and die maker for most of his career, and spent his life loving and providing for his family until his recent passing on Oct. 20, 2024 at the age of 98. He is survived by his wife of 76 years Lilian Tekla Schuch (Karaluk); daughter Deborah Ann (Varner) and son-in-law Larry Varner; daughter Diane Marie (Visich) and son-in-law Paul Visich; grandson Matthew Edward Visich and daughter-in -law Abigail Watson; grandson Timothy Frank Visich and daughter-in-law Kathryn Visich; and his most recent blessings of 2 great granddaughters Frances Luella Visich (age 5 months) and Lillian Jane Watson-Visich (age 2 weeks, born on his 76th wedding anniversary!).

He is also survived by his brother Paul Schuch and sister-in-law Patricia Schuch (Rarucha).

A visitation for Edward will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave., Mokena, IL 60448. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 19515 115th Ave, Mokena, IL 60448. A committal service with military honors will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, 11046 St Marys Rd., Mokena, IL 60448.
