Elsa Arroyo, 80 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on March 23, 2017. Elsa was born May 9, 1936, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and was a resident of Port Charlotte, FL for over 35 years. Elsa retired from the Charlotte County School Board in 2003 after many years of service. Post retirement, Elsa enjoyed participating in several activities in her community. Elsa will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 54 years, Anthony Arroyo, her three loving daughters and son-in-law, Audrey Dugas of Baton Rouge, LA, Adrienne Chaney of Asheville, NC, Susan and John Hoeben of Punta Gorda, FL, her sister, Candida Morales of Caguas, Puerto Rico, and her grandchildren Corey, Andrew, Hailey, Shannon and wife Jan, Joey, Brian, and Blake. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. A reception will be held at 10am, on Wednesday March 29th. followed by a memorial service at 11am at Kays Ponger & Uselton Funeral home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL
