
EULA LEE (nee WHITEHEAD) DAVIS, 92 of Englewood died June 29, 2010. She was born on May 13, 1918 in Marianna, Fl to Thomas and Beaula Whitehead. The family moved to Plant City, Florida in 1925 and later to Woodmere, a lumber mill town north of Englewood. She attended Englewood Elementary School and Venice High School. She married William Davis in 1935, which preceded her in death. Having three sons, Floyd (Dorothy), Ferold (Patricia) and William (Nancy). Eula was a charter member of the Church of God in Englewood. Later became a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She had worked as a cook in the lunch room at Englewood Elementary, a CNA at Hill Heaven of Venice South and as a nurse's aid at Venice Hospital. Her hobbies were feeding people and after retirement volunteered as a cook with Meals on Wheels. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 from 10:00 am until service time starting at 11:00 am at the Englewood Church of the Nazarene, 404 Green Street in Englewood. Officiating will be Rev. Paul Ray with Rev. Bryan Walton offering the benediction. Burial will follow at Lemon Bay Cemetery. Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood is in charge of arrangements.
