Evelyn Victoria Gardner, 99 of Arcadia, Florida passed away on February 29, 2008 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Evelyn was born on May 16, 1908 in Belvedere, IL the daughter of Charles and Emma Wendt Linstrom. She moved to Florida in 1965 from Michigan where she belonged to the 7th Day Adventist of Arcadia and the AARP Club with many close friends in Ogden Acres area. She loved being called "GiGi" by her great and great-great grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Theodore Gardner. She is survived by: her son; Ted Gardner, her daughter-in-law; Joann Gardner, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on March 5, 2008 from 2-4 PM at the Kays Ponger Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel. A service will follow from the chapel at 4:00 PM. Burial will be later at the Royal Palm Cemetery, Punta Gorda.
