Frances Potts Jakobsen, 85, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away April 7, 2013. She was born May 12, 1927 in Durham, NC to Maggie (Pendergraph) and Charles Potts. She was married in 1955 to Arne Jakobsen of Copenhagen Denmark in Long Island NY. She studied art at the New York School of Design and was a professional ice skater, performing and teaching in New York and Toronto. She and her husband Arne owned a stage rigging and theatrical decorating business in Fort Lauderdale, FL until retiring in 1990. She moved to Punta Gorda in 2010. Frances loved animals, art and laughter. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Jakobsen of Pompano Beach, FL; Cathy Macadangdang of Puyallup, WA, and Lise Lindsay of Punta Gorda FL.
