Frank A. Chadwick

Francis "Frank" A. Chadwick, 59, of Punta Gorda, FL peacefully went home to his heavenly Father on August 16, 2011. He was born January 25, 1952 in Catskill, NY. Formerly of Binghamton, NY he moved to this area in the mid 90's. He was proud of his accomplishment as an Eagle Scout, and was a graduate of the Eastern CT State University. He served in the US Navy and was currently employed at the Life Care Center of Punta Gorda as a Dietary Aide. He was a loving family man who enjoyed his children. Frank's quick wit and wonderful sense of humor will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Elena Chadwick of Punta Gorda, FL; his children, Tara (Jason) Potts, Jesse (Regina Vose) Chadwick, Michelle Chadwick, Thomas and Joseph Chadwick; step-children, Logan Kennefic and William McClelland, both of Punta Gorda; his mother, Gloria Chadwick and sister, Carol (James) Ryan, both of Binghamton, NY; grandchildren, Patrick, Laina, Abagail Potts and Jesse Chadwick, II; mother-in-law, Mercedes Triana of Punta Gorda. He was pre deceased by his father, Francis E. Chadwick and father-in-law, Pedro Triana.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm, Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. A Vigil Service will be held at 5:30 pm Monday at the funeral home with the Deacon Edward Lundy officiating. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda with a military Graveside Service at 2:00pm, Tuesday, at the Sarasota National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice at tidewell.org.
