Fred Manna Hill, Sr., 84 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away November 2, 2013. He was born April 21, 1929 in Lewis, Delaware to Clarence M. and Nora Hill. He retired as a T-Sargent after twenty years serving in the US Air Force. He served in Vietnam in 1967-68 and moved to Punta Gorda in 1973.
He is survived by his daughter Penny Hill of Punta Gorda; sons, Fred Hill Jr of Ocala, FL and Douglas Hill of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Nora (Kevin) Faber, Stacy (Joseph) Dawson, Joni (Donald) Schumacher and Brian (Barbara) Hill; nine great grandchildren, Kristin, Gary, Austin, Justin, Joey, Hailey, Keira, Shayla, and Tala; one great great granddaughter, Avery. He was proceed in death by his wife of 47 years, Florence Reed Hill; brothers, Victor C, Lee, Charles A, Thomas, and William and sisters, Elizabeth Schulenburg and Nora Hartzel.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated 10:00 am, Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Animal Welfare League, 3519 Drance Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33980.
